There is a reason why sleep is known as temporary death! Not only does the body go into a rest mode that puts us in interim paralysis, it brings forth vivid nightmares!
Nightmares, like pleasant dreams, are a common staple for all human beings. However, at times these nightmares are so gruesome and violent that they force us to wake up. Many times, we find it difficult to go back to sleep post such dreams.
Due to such dreams, we feel uncomfortable, stifled, trapped, anxious and faint. One tends to feel restless as if they have come across skeletons, dead bodies, souls from the netherworld and so on.
In short, nightmares can shock one out of their wits and do much harm. If these happen on a regular basis, it can cause mental and emotional damage like fear of the dark, give rise to insomnia or other phobias.
This is really simple whatever happens to you in the day can affect your dreams. If you happen to watch violent, gory or anxiety increasing videos before you sleep, it can lead to nightmares and disturbed sleep.

Do some yoga daily and do some walking in the lap of nature. It is important to spend some time alone in nature. It helps to clear the mind and rejuvenate the body.
